Second Saturday: A Festival of Colors!

The Second Saturday of each month, the Cape Ann Museum is free for all Cape Ann Residents. Visitors of all ages are invited to head to the CAM Studio during their visit to participate in a new art project.   

Chartreuse, Razzmatazz, Zaffre and Drake’s Neck Green — have you ever heard of these  hilarious hues? Learn about some of the funniest colors in the rainbow, take a color hunt through the galleries to find them, and come down to the CAM Studio to make a rainbow kaleidoscope to bring home. Join us for storytime at 10:30 to learn about rainbows and about Holi, a most colorful festival that takes place in March in India, followed by some rainbow making for ages 3+.

Can’t make this date? No problem!  

This activity will be available in the CAM Studio for the month of February. The CAM Studio is open to the public daily from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. unless there is a school program or class happening. The monthly activity is included with the price of admission, children under 18 are always free. No reservations necessary. Come, create, and look around because Museums are for kids!
